Imperial War Museum, London
To 1st January 2013
If you've not caught it yet, why not visit the Imperial War Museum over Remembrance weekend? This major exhibition explores the impact of the Second
World War on the life and work of Cecil Beaton.
Beaton’s wartime photographs, many of which are seen for the first time,
are masterpieces of composition and staging.
Commissioned by the Ministry of Information, Beaton took some 7,000
photographs between 1940 and 1945. He
considered this body of work amongst his most important.
